lyrics

Got lost in the moment that it cost
to forgo myself, and melted off like Frosty the Snowman.
Couldn't deal with the guilt that you feel
when your lifestyle leads to the death of a good man.
You'll find that your peace of mind is a thing that's often undermined
by the folks that you roll with.
You started killin' off your brain as you were chillin' and became
your greatest villain by forgetting what your goal is.
You'll start to ask if the liquid in your flask
- is it gonna be your last? - as you bask in the moonlight.
It goes to show that you never really know
if your time will come to go 'cause you didn't play your cards right.
Certain feelings are impressively appealing to our senses,
making pleasant little lenses we can see through,
but the illusion of the self is what we use to justify our own abuse
and then seduce another soul to.
All the pretty lights become a blur when you're aflight
amidst the lure of your delights, but that's life in the fast lane.
My own demise is a convincing little lie,
but I know someone will be cryin' when I'm lyin' in a fresh grave.
And that's the question that's been causing me, incessantly,
to ponder - as I wander through my life - about it's meaning.
And as my body gets progressively more flawed,
I cannot help but hope to god I have direction when I'm leaving.
